I know I barely ever post but I had the most amazing breakthrough with my horse and just had to write it down!

Well.. My horse Sunny is a QH x Paint x TB who was poorly broken in due to an ill fitting saddle that stuffed his back and caused him to be cold backed and he is very, very particular with whatever saddle you put on his back, he needs to have his sadde that was fitted to him otherwise he bucks, rears and carries on until you take it off.. It’s been 7 years since he’s had a different saddle on and normally he goes nuts when you but something/someone heavier on him and he’d be really good all week and i thought i might just try my syd hill swinging fender on him and see how we reacts.. i put it on him and he tensed up a bit then relaxed as soon as i started talking too him then i did the girth up which is normally the harder part because he gets tense and worries but he was fairly relaxed the whole time and i did it up firm but not tight and he just stood there, when normally he’d be running backwards and rearing so i lunged him and he did nothing but what i asked and i was so happy with him so i risked it for the biscuit and decided to get on him, mum walked out and almost passed out! haha but he was so good, he was tense at first but i just kept walking him until he was comfortable and slowly brought him into a trot on both sides then thought what the hell he’s happy so we went for a canter on the circle first then out into the paddock and went for a nice long run and he loved it! I’m so happy with him, i love him so much! <3

I love it when people are affectionate with me. I like when they always invite me places, or text me, or call me, I wouldn’t even mind if they blew up my fb wall with hearts and what not. I would rather have that person than someone who makes me text them first all the time and replies back like 10 hours later.
